Manassas Park Police is currently investigating the shooting of a dog that occurred at 9:26 AM, April 26, 2021 at the Virginia Rail Express (VRE) at 9300 Manassas Drive, Manassas Park, Virginia 20111.
Upon the officer’s arrival, blood was located in the parking lot, which was tracked and led to the pictured dog being located. The dog had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was wearing a gray/green colored collar with spikes and had black leash attached to it.
Witness reports hearing 6 total gunshots. After the dog was shot, the witness followed the person, described as a Black male back to a Black SUV that was parked in the VRE parking lot; the vehicle then fled the scene.
The dog was transported to a nearby vet clinic and is being treated. The animal may have to have a leg amputated.

Jose Victor VANEGAS ESCOBAR is wanted by the Manassas City Police for the charge of rape. The incident occurred on April 5, 2020 and the victim was a female juvenile family member.

On August 14, 2019 at 2:25 a.m., three male suspects were caught on a surveillance camera attempting to gain entry into the Dominion Pawn Shop at 10450 Dumfries Road. The suspects fled the scene before gaining entry.

**APPREHENDED**
20 year old Kevin BROWN, is on the run for Attempted Malicious Wounding, and Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
Manassas City Police responded to a shooting on March 15, 2019 in the 9600 block of Grant Ave. They located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was flown to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim is still recovering.
MCPD Detectives identified two suspects in the case. One suspect, Grorethas MCKINNON Jr., was arrested without incident on March 28, 2019. MCKINNON was charged with malicious wounding and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony. MCKINNON is currently behind bars without bond and will appear in court in May.

This despicable individual, Carlos Gilberto ZELAYA-DIAZ is wanted by the Manassas City Police for three counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery of a juvenile female. YES, at least three times this "man" sexually battered a girl!
Carlos is a Hispanic male, 54 years old, 5'6" about 180 lbs.

On September 28, 2018 the Manassas City Police met the victim in the 9200 block of Niki Place in Manassas VA for a report of a fraud. The investigation revealed the victim's debit card was used at several locations in Virginia and Maryland. All suspects are possibly between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. Suspect 1 is a white male. Suspect 2 and Suspect 3 are both black males. Suspect 4 is an Asian male with long hair.

CHILDS is wanted by the Manassas City Police on felony warrants.
The charges are: Malicious Wounding by Mob, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
CHILDS is a black male, 18 years old, 5'4" tall weighting 140 lbs.

On August 18, 2018 at approximately 9:38 a.m., Manassas City Police Officers responded to 8351 Stonewall Rd (Stonewall Park) in reference to an attempted abduction.
Investigation revealed the victim, an adult female, was running on the trail in the park when she was approached by an unknown male. During the encounter the suspect grabbed the victim and assaulted her.
The victim was able to escape and suffered minor injuries as a result of the altercation.
The suspect, who is described as a Hispanic male in his late thirties, fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing.

Kornegan is wanted by multiple jurisdictions on numerous charges, but Manassas City Police holds a Felony Contempt of Court warrant on previous drug charges.
Kornegan is a Black male, 22 years old, 5'7" with brown eyes and black hair. If you know where he can be located, your information could be worth up to $1,000.

At 12:44 a.m. on December 12, 2017, officers from the Manassas City Police responded to the Best Western located at 8640 Mathis Ave for a report of an armed robbery.
The clerk told police a male subject entered the hotel, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.
The suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Description:
-White male/ 5’10”/thin build.
-The suspect was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, black pants, and a black ski mask.

On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at approximately 4:00pm, officers responded to the 8500 block of Oliver Court for a robbery call.
The victim reported the man pictured here walked up to him and demanded his wallet. The suspect displayed a handgun and the victim complied.
The victim was able to snap a picture of the suspect as he was walking away toward Portner Avenue, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday, November 6, 2017 at approximately 12:00pm, surveillance footage captured the suspect pictured above entering THE CENTRO AMERICANA GROCERY 9928 Cockrell Rd, Manassas, VA and removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the office area. He then left the scene in a dark blue Hyundai Veracruz, possibly 2009 - 2011.

At approximately 7:49 p.m. on October 24, 2017, the Manassas City Police responded to 9000 block of Whispering Pine Ct for a report of a larceny. Officers met with the victim who stated her dog was stolen from the backyard of her residence.

The dog is described as an eight-week-old white and tan male Pitbull named Zeus. The victim stated the incident occurred sometime during the afternoon hours on October 24th.

Manassas City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for damage to City owned Utility Property in the area of Signal Hill Road and Lehr Ct. The incident occurred sometime between September 1st and September 15th, 2017.

At 1:11 a.m. on June 14, 2017, the Manassas City police responded to 8402 Digges Rd (7-Eleven) for a report of an armed robbery.
The store clerk told police a black male entered the store wearing a mask, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A police k-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported by the victim.

On April 13, 2017 at approximately 11:30 AM, the pictured suspect entered May, Hettler & Associates Optometry, located at 9150 Key Commons Court in Manassas.The suspect selected several eyeglass frames from a display case, and left the business without paying for the items.
The suspect was observed on video surveillance and is described as a black male, approximately 45-years-old, six feet tall, 180 lbs, with short black/gray facial hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray suit jacket, blue jeans, and a gray cap.The suspect is believed to have stolen similar items from other businesses throughout the area. The total loss of merchandise is estimated to be several thousand dollars.
